SYDNEY: Galstaun College attracted over 1,000 community guests to an event titled 'The Big Spring Day Out', held at Miramare Gardens on Sunday 22 August.
In a unique lunchtime setting, guests were treated to entertainment by internationally-renowned singer Ararat Aharonian and the community showed its support for Galstaun College by donating in the big-ticket item auction, and by committing to purchase several items from the College's 'Wish List'.
In their respective speeches, Board representative Roupinah Simonian, Principal Kaylar Michaelian and Head of College Carolyn Blanden revealed the continued achievements at Galstaun College, while admitting to being truly humbled by the large-level support being displayed by the Sydney Armenian community of its only K-12 day school.
The Community Relations Committee distributed to guests the first-ever Galstaun College News newsletter designed to communicate all the most recent happenings at the College to the greater community, as well as showing the College's latest informational DVDs at the entrance.
The Big Spring Day Out was organised by the Galstaun College Parents & Friends Committee, who were treated to a stirring ovation at the conclusion of the highly-successful event.
