The June 1st ANCA Telethon will be streamed live online at ancatelethon.org and broadcast coast to coast from from 3 to 9 p.m. PST (6 p.m. to midnight EST) on the following stations.
“For our family the Armenian Cause has always been at the core of our values, and the ANCA is the leader in championing the cause,” explained Murad Minasian. “We’ve all seen the great work of this organisation and are thankful for what they’ve accomplished. We’re glad we had the opportunity to help the ANCA and our common cause – after all, it is ‘Mer Hayrenik’.”
ANCA Telethon Committee Chairman Steve Artinian was joined by ANCA National Board Member Steve Dadaian, Esq., ANCA Western Region Advisory Board Member Levon Kirakosian, Esq., Telethon Committee Member Vanna Kitsinian, Esq. and former Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian in offering remarks during the evening.
“It was a memorable moment, one that would not have happened without the support of the Montebello Armenian community,” said Kirakosian. “I want to thank Murad and Ungerouhi Armine Minasian for being such gracious hosts. I also want to take a moment to thank the volunteers of the ANCA Telethon and the able staff of the ANCA for their hard work. It was just a spectacular night from the venue, the wine, the food and the wonderful music provided by the oud virtuoso Antranig Kizirian. Thank you for making the event a huge success.”
Kzirian, a former ANCA Western Region Chairman, accomplished musician and performer in the band, Vi-za, played a traditional oud medley throughout the course of the evening.
The ANCA Endowment Fund supports a broad range of educational, youth, and civic programs that give voice to the views and values of the Armenian American community, strengthening our presence in the American civic arena, and empowering pro-Armenian stakeholders with the information and resources they need to take on the powerful forces aligned against the Armenian nation.
The first three ANCA Endowment Fund telethons, held in 2006, 2009 and 2012, raised over $6.5 million for Armenian American educational, youth, and civic programs. Each program touched a common emotional chord, speaking directly to the devotion to the Armenian Cause in the hearts of Armenians from across the U.S., regardless of organisational or political affiliations.
