SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) will host the fourth annual Armenian Family Day at Ryde No. 3 on Sunday 21 November, with the support of the entire Armenian-Australian community in what will be the biggest version of this event yet.
With Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Ensemble, Homenetmen Antranig, Ararat and Navasart Scouts, the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia, Hamazkaine Galstaun College student performers and the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) all bringing their participation to the event, organisers expect upward of 1000 attendees.
Armenian Family Day is a day for Sydney Armenians to gather and celebrate the successes of ANC Australia with family fun and games, delicious food and drinks, plenty of on-stage dance and song, and fun for children with jumping castles and face-painting.
"Momentum for Family Day is building with broad-based participation of community organisations, musical duo Karnig & Hovik,, new talent Ohaness Ohanessian and our special international guest of honour, ANC America Chairman Ken Hachikian all confirmed participants," said ANC Australia Community Relations Officer, Stephen Abolakian.
He added: "We look forward to seeing the entire Armenian-Australian community join us on Family Day as we launch into ANC Australia Advocacy Week 2010."
