SYDNEY: Visiting superstar singer Harout Pamboukjian will perform at the Armenian Festival 2012, which is being held this Sunday (9 December) at Tumbalong Park in Sydney's Darling Harbour entertainment precinct.
Yerevan-born and Los Angeles-based Pamboukjian is the undisputed living legend among Armenian pop singers. He has dominated the vinyl, CD and MP3 generations, delivering Armenians of all ages traditionally inspired Armenian music for over 40 years.
Last weekend, Pamboukjian performed before over 1,000 Armenians at two events, and has agreed to form part of the very special program put together by the Armenian Festival 2012 Organising Committee, which is made up of members from key Armenian-Australian organisations.
The Pamboukjian announcement comes hot on the heels of the Committee revealing that the Armenian Festival 2012 will be MC-ed by Australian television market analyst Steven Daghlian and Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of Australia, Vache Kahramanian.
The Armenian Festival 2012 will take place this Sunday, 9 December at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour! As well as a rich entertainment program on stage, there will be Armenian food, beer and fireworks, which will follow Carols by Candlelight.
