SYDNEY: The Armenian community in Sydney is at fever pitch for its first night with Harout Pamboukjian in over a decade, which will take place at Lidcombe's Renaissance Reception Centre this Friday, 2 December from 8pm.
800 tickets have been sold for the event marking the 121st Anniversary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and hundreds have been left disappointed after leaving their pursuit for tickets too late.
The Dinner Dance, supported by major sponsor HYECORP Property Group, was sold out in under one month and over a month out from the event.
Harout Pamboukjian arrives in Sydney on Wednesday with his wife and four band members. The superstar Armenian pop singer from the United States will be visiting Armenian community establishments in the days preceding his big event.
On Sunday, 4 December Harout Pamboukjian will be farewelled by the community following an official program celebrating the 121st Anniversary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation at the Armenian Cultural Centre in Willoughby. This event starts at 5pm and will feature a live band and a surprise performance.
ARF Bureau member, Unger Hagop Der Khatchadourian will keynote the event on Sunday.
