SYDNEY: Yacht ‘Armenia’ was greeted at Darling Harbour, Sydney by over 1,000 Armenians and Australians last weekend.

The crowd welcomed renowned Armenian author, adventurer and human rights activist, Dr Zori Balayan  and the rest of the ‘Armenia’ crew, who are on a voyage to spread word of Armenia's rich heritage and culture to the world.

The yacht, dedicated to ‘Mesrob Mashdotz’ and the discovery of the Armenian Alphabet in 405 AD, as well as the 1700 Anniversary of Christianity in Armenia, is adorned with the Armenian Alphabet on the one side, the Armenian cross on the other and the symbol of eternity in the middle.
