SYDNEY: Galstaun College held an Appreciation Dinner to honour parents, family, teachers and students of the Class of 2009 at the school's Nalbandian Hall on Friday night.
In what was an emotional evening, Board Chairperson Ara Vartoukian, Principal Kaylar Michaelian, Head of College Carolyn Blanden and senior teacher Jennifer Hammond addressed the crowd, touching on the achievements of the graduating class over their last 13 years of schooling at Galstaun College.
Members of the class, including school captains Dana Manoukian and Haig Vartoukian, took their peers down memory lane with their speeches, while a tribute video prepared by Joseph Agon graphically displayed how this close-knit group had grown over the years.
Hagop Jambazian took to the podium on behalf of the parents, and comically went through his experiences as a father of three Galstaun College graduates over the past two decades. Jambazian thanked the Hamazkaine Regional Committee for their continued support of the College, similarly the Board, Principal, Administration and Teachers.
