An award winning film, “ARAM, ARAM” is the first American drama to take audiences inside the Armenian Community of Los Angeles. After a sold-out Premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival “ARAM, ARAM” has toured film festivals around the world, and has had a successful theatrical release in the US. Hamazkaine Shant Chapter is proud to Premiere “ARAM, ARAM” in Sydney on September 16 and 17.
Starring famous Armenian Actors Levon Sharafyan and Alla Tumanian, and introducing newcomers John Roohinian and Sevak Hakoyan, “ARAM, ARAM” features a 100% Armenian Lead Cast, directed by “100% non-Armenian” Writer-Director, Christopher Chambers.
The story follows a young 12 year-old Lebanese Armenian boy, Aram, who is suddenly uprooted from his home, and is sent to live with his Eastern Armenian Grandfather in “Little Armenia” in Los Angeles. There, Aram soon falls in with the wrong crowd as the young boy struggles to navigate the clash between old-world values and new-school Armenian identity in Little Armenia.
